Time: 2 hours ahead of New Zealand winter standard time, 1 day behind! e.g. 9am Saturday New Zealand time is 11am Friday Cook Islands time
Electricity: Same as New Zealand
Currency: New Zealand currency used mostly. They do have some of their own of equal value. Spend all local currency before coming home!
ATM's are available in Avarua and at the airport - beware the fees!
Visas: No visas required for New Zealand, Australian, United States, UK passport holders
Climate: Hottest (and usually wettest) months are December - March Coolest and driest months are May - October
Dress: Casual throughout. We recommend visiting a church service on Sunday but dress should be appropriate. Winter nights can be surprisingly cool to many people. We recommend long sleeved shirts/blouses/dresses in the evening for mosquito protection.
